Where are all the deep thinkers?
getting onto the freeway I noticed a bus in front of me that said out of
service which normally wouldn't mean a thing. Today however thoughts
collided and I wondered how come all the thinkers we study are dead now. Is
what people say only validated after they are gone. Where are the modern
day thinkers? Our generation rewards drug dealers and ex-pimps draft
dodgers and decievers. But rare is the man exhorted for faith or
intelligence without the element of success. Where are all the un famous
deep thinkers? I know its not me as a use a spalunking head light to light
my sink as I brush my teeth

The deep thinkers are dead because today's culture has no time for deep thinking. It's 'I got to have it now. I'm too busy. etc"
You're absolutely right - we reward and pay attention to the idiots - celebrities, actors, actresses, criminals, and politicians.

Also, about the book I'm reading with my friend, it was the first one that came to mind and I really needed something that builds a case from ground up. Having talked with him and hearing what he had to say, I knew that I had to start from the basics and work my way up. I'm hoping that "The Case for a Creator" does that. I'll have to check out the "Be" series, but if it's really $150.00, it'll have to wait.
